About Me
I have been practicing professionally as a counsellor and psychotherapist for 20 years. I am accredited and registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). I trained initially as an Integrative Counsellor at the University of East London. I subsequently completed a Masters in Existential Psychotherapy at the New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling I also have training and experience in Solution-Focus Brief Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Attachment-based Psychotherapy and On-line Psychotherapy.
In addition to working in private practice, until July 2018 I also worked in a psychiatric hospital. I spent six extremely rewarding years working as an addictions counsellor in various settings; including three years in a drug and alcohol treatment centre in East London. In addition, I also have experience of working in a GP practice, Cruse Bereavement Care and for two years taught a course in 'Counselling Theory and Practice' to undergraduates at Richmond University. I have also worked as a training provider both in the UK and in Italy. I offer counselling and psychotherapy exclusively on-line via Skype.
In my spare time I enjoy contemporary popular music, cinema, fine art, running and cooking.
